iPhone screen popping out

I have an iPhone 5s, the warranty of which has expired. The phone's screen is popping out from the top. I googled and found this to be due to swollen battery. However when I went to an Apple Service Center, they checked the battery and found that it does not have any problem and so could not be replaced. They suggested to either get the phone replaced with a new one (after paying 25,000 INR extra) or buy a new iPhone 6 or higher. I don't want either of these options. Could anyone help with what can be done?
